I have enjoyed taking photographs my entire life. As we start the 2021 Cross Country season hopes are high in Big Orange Country, and schools around West Central Ohio. My intention is to capture the expressions, fun, joy, disappointments and pains that the athletes, Coaches, parents and spectators experience on the race courses. I try to capture photos of ALL the student athletes, not just my school's teams. I try to get as close to the action as possible, often following the runners along the courses while respecting the race spectator rules. The participants, Coaches and Officials spend hours of hard work as well as the organizers and volunteers put in to make these events possible.
They deserve our respect and admiration.

The camera I am currently using is a NIKON D500. I most often use a 70-200mm telephoto, but can quickly change to a wider angle 28-70mm for those podium shots. For the big events where getting close is not a possibility I will use a 150-600 mm lens. If you are at an event and see me with my camera to my eye, you will usually find the pictures on this website within 24-48 hours of my return home. I often do not edit them before uploading here. I often create an album of just WLS Student Athletes from these photos as well. If you have a slow connection, you may also find selected photos on my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/N8JYF in a much lower resolution, not really suitable for printing larger than 5"x7" prints. If you would like to order high resolution prints, please contact us. We make them available at very reasonable prices. We do not sell OHSAA Tournament photos IAW OHSAA Rules.
Remember, If my hat is on backwards I am 'working' on capturing your kids in the best photos I possibly can. You may download any or all of them by clicking on the picture, right clicking and then choosing download. Athletes, Schools, coaches, parents, local newspapers and radio stations and websites are free to use them as long as it puts the Athletes in a positive light. Remember, If you would like ALL the pictures of a particular event, I can provide the full resolution images for a particular event on a flash drive for a reasonable cost. Except OHSAA Tournament photos.
